NOTAN are a registered charity

As Chairman of the North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN), I am delighted to inform you that earlier today we received the news that we have met the criteria to become a registered charity.

In their email to Trustees, the Charity Commission declared that:

‘We are satisfied that NORTH OF TYNE ATHLETICS NETWORK (NOTAN) is a charity and it has been entered onto the Register of Charities with the Registered Charity Number 1174636.

The decision to register was based on our assessment of the information supplied during the application process and the declarations given in the trustee declaration form and we are satisfied that NORTH OF TYNE ATHLETICS NETWORK (NOTAN) is established for charitable purposes only for the public benefit’.

Consequently, NOTAN’s details will be publicly available on the Charity Commission’s website within 48 hours.

I would like to thank everyone involved in the application, with special gratitude must be being given to Elizabeth Grace, VODA Development Officer, without whom the application would have faltered at the first reading.

Tommy Brannon

Chairman

North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN)
